Special promotion price
This directory is now linked directly with the Fakenham town website at www.fakenham.info. Visitors to that site can search for businesses in the Fakenham Business Directory and display a category view of all businesses, which automatically updates whenever new listings are placed here. To coincide with the launch of the new town site, the Fakenham Business Directory has decreased the cost of listings to just £10 each per year.

New users are now required to go through an approval process before being allowed access. Apologies for the short delay this causes, but this process has been introduced as an anti-spam measure.
Just sign up and await your approval email before submitting your listing as before.

The website is now averaging nearly 350 unique visitors per month, with an average of just over 1000 total visits each month (visitors seem to return to view information on the site several times during the month).
August 2010 saw 1192 total visits (averaging 3.82 visits per visitor) and 4260 page hits (3.57 pages per visit)
Averaged out, that’s 38.45 visits per day with 137.42 pages viewed each day during August 2010.
That’s not bad for a local website. It goes to show that it’s worth listing your business on Fakenham.biz!

The website has now had a major overhaul, with a completely new software installation based on WordPress.
Improvements include a clearer layout, embedded Google maps, simplified search features, improved security and the ability to maintain multiple directory listings from a single account. There’s also an optional ’Featured Listings’ carousel, which keeps your listing visible on the home page, even after it has disappeared from the ‘Recent Listings’ section.
All listings which had not previously expired have been recreated in the new software, with original images uploaded where possible. You can now see how long a listing has to run from the page itself, along with the date it was created. If you need to edit your listing, please register as a website user (the link is at the top right of each page), then use the Contact Us page to request that your entry is made editable for you (you need to let us know your username).
The free period for Directory listings is now over, but an entry is still extremely inexpensive. As before, business owners whose websites are designed or hosted by Wensum.net / Norfolk Internet get a free entry on the Directory.
